“5 Areas of Wellbeing (and Why I’m Rethinking Physical Health at 32 Weeks Pregnant)”
Let’s slow down for a second.
Not in a dramatic “quit your job and go to Bali” kind of way — just long enough to check in with yourself.
This month, I’m preparing for a workshop with the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Ignite Women’s Council, where I’ll walk attendees through the 5 areas of wellbeing:
Career & Purpose
Financial
Social
Community
Physical
We’ll be doing a short wellbeing audit — not to create more pressure, but to make space. Because I think so many of us are flying through our weeks, managing all the things, and rarely pausing to ask:
What do I actually need to feel energized right now?
What’s working well for me — and what needs a little love?
Right now? I’m focused on Physical Wellbeing.
I’m 32 weeks pregnant, working, raising two boys, visiting family out of town, and doing my best to listen to my body (while eating real meals that aren’t toddler leftovers). And when I think about physical wellbeing, I don’t just mean working out or drinking more water.
To me, physical wellbeing is about:
Mindset
Rest
Nourishment
Movement that feels good
Feeling connected to your own body
And no, your girl has not gone on a run in quite some time. But I’ve been asking better questions, and I think that’s the shift:
Instead of forcing ourselves into wellness trends or punishing habits, what if we asked:
What’s one thing I can do to feel a little better in my body today?
What makes me feel grounded?
What does my version of rest look like this season?
A Quick Flashback
I really started paying attention to my body when I was nursing my first son. I realized how food was impacting my supply, how much protein I needed, and how little I’d been listening to my body before. That’s actually what led me to Arbonne. I wanted clean products I could trust, a gut health plan I could actually stick to, and a recipe book that made cooking fun (the 30 Days to Healthy Living one is still my go-to).
It was never about perfection — it was about feeling better.
And it opened my eyes to something my mom used to say:
“Brittany, your body is like a car. It needs to sit and rest in the garage sometimes. It needs its oil changed. It needs fuel that works.”
Yes, sometimes that fuel is a clean protein shake.
Sometimes it’s sleep.
Sometimes it’s saying no.
Sometimes it’s pizza and greens in the same meal. Balance, baby.
Here’s Where This Ties Together
If you’re feeling a little off, low energy, or unsure what you even need right now, try looking at your life through those 5 lenses:
Career/Purpose
Financial
Social
Community
Physical
Where are you thriving?
Where do you feel off?
And what’s one small thing you could do to refuel?
So let me ask you this...
(You knew something clever was coming.)
If your body was a car, what kind of gas are you putting in the tank?
And… when was the last time you took it in for a tune-up?
We can’t always overhaul everything at once — but we can be more intentional. One small shift at a time.
If you’re looking for support this season — for your energy, your gut health, or just a little bit of calm in the chaos — here are a few things I’m loving right now:
🌿 What I’m Into This Week:
Workshop Prep:
I’m deep into content for my Wellbeing Workshop and rethinking how we define “balance” as women. Spoiler: it’s not about doing it all.
Quote:
“Some of the best decisions I’ve ever made started with showing up in the room.”
Product Pick:
The Blackberry Fizz Stick – new this month and full of bold summer vibes. Think juicy, refreshing, and a clean energy boost I actually trust during pregnancy and coaching calls. Safe to say I’m hooked.
Mom Moment:
My toddler told me he wants to name the new baby “Lightning McQueen Parks.” Bold. Branded. Honestly, a strong contender.
